Moki with the Maxis

Excitement and fun at a daycare centre in Stuttgart: Moki and Kadia from MobileKids show the pre-school children how to move safely in traffic.

The excitement is tangible in the gym of a daycare centre in Stuttgart. The pre-school children, the so-called Maxis, sit excitedly in a circle and wait eagerly for their special visitors. MobileKids is a guest at their traffic lessons. The Maxis, who will start primary school in the autumn, are to learn how to make their way to school safely.

The children greet Moki with shining eyes. The cheerful character immediately brings life into the room. Kadia, a dedicated MobileKids ambassador, is also taking part. She explains to the children why it is so important to pay attention when crossing the road and to always look left and right.

Explanatory videos generate enthusiasm

Again and again the children shout together in chorus: "If it's red, you should stop; if it's green, you can go." Two entertaining and informative explanatory videos on the Traffic light colours and Crossing the zebra crossing illustrate what has been discussed. The children participate enthusiastically with comments and questions, which makes the lesson an interactive experience.

After the theoretical introduction, it's off to the daycare centre's garden: this gives the children an opportunity to put what they have learned into practice. They draw a zebra crossing on the ground with coloured chalk and take the tricycles out of the shed. They eagerly practise how to cross the zebra crossing safely, while other children take on the role of car drivers. The garden is a hive of activity, the children are laughing and playing enthusiastically – and suddenly the time is up again.

Colourful Moki booklets for everyone

Back in the gym, Moki bids farewell with small gifts for all the participants. In the colourful Moki booklet the children can now repeat what they have learned and try their hand at the many colouring pictures and puzzles. The children also put Moki stickers on their T-shirts and shout: "I am the Moki boss, I am the Moki boss."

The visit was a special experience for MobileKids ambassador Kadia. "My highlight was seeing how happy the children were about Moki," she says. A great end to a wonderful lesson on road safety.
